Earl D. Brownlee, age 74, of Posts Falls, Idaho died surrounded by his family on January 31, 2010 at Coeur d'Alene Homes in Coeur d'Alene, ID. He was born March 29, 1935 in Gooding, Idaho to William and Harriet (Knight) Brownlee and raised in Shoshone. He was a proud Idahoan. Earl made his home in Post Falls, ID for the last eight years, after relocating from Mountain Home, ID.

In 1957 he met, and after dating only a week, he married his wife, Pat. They celebrated 51 years together. He was a man who could build or "fix" anything. He worked as a carpenter, hospital maintenance engineer, heavy equipment operator, and an RV repairman. He owned and operated his own RV business. Earl served in the USAF for twenty years and was a Vietnam veteran. He loved traveling in his RV's and "seeing where that road went". He was an avid hunter, loved to hike, and hit the auctions. He loved his family and his critters.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Brownlee of Post Falls; daughters and sons-in-law, Kami and Mark Robins of Post Falls and Cindy and John Reed of Post Falls; a son, Paul Brownlee of Monroe, WA; six grandchildren, Brandon Jett of Moscow, Jenica Jett of Seattle, Keegan Robins of Seattle, Jace Robins of Coeur d'Alene, Riley Robins of Post Falls, and Zoe Reed of Post Falls; and an aunt, Tilda Hannebaum of Hailey. He was also loved by his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Charles and Shirley Frazier, Bill and Janice Frazier, Ann and Milburn Buckminister of Louisiana; and numerous nieces and nephews all of Louisiana. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 6, 2010 at the Yates Funeral Home, Hayden Chapel. A gathering will follow at the family home in Post Falls. Memorials may be sent to Hospice of North Idaho, 9493 N. Government Way, Hayden, ID 83835.
