Joan McMillin
Loving Wife & Mother
Joan McMillin (75) of Hayden, ID passed away at her home on Saturday, January 16, 2010. Joan passed on after a well fought battle of cancer over the last three years. She is survived by her loving husband Russell "Bud" McMillin, son Russell "Rusty" McMillin (Brandy) her daughter Gayle Kuebler (Shayne) five grand children: Charnae, Colton, Justin, Ashlynn and Mason, and two brothers Frank Gamble (Edie) and Joey Gamble(Mary). Joan was preceded in death by her Father, Francis Gamble, and Mother, Sarah (Gallagher) Gamble of Liverpool, England.
Joan was born to Francis and Sarah Gamble in Liverpool, England on March 9, 1934 where she resided until meeting the love of her life, Bud McMillin, a Yankee (as her Mom & Dad called him) from the states who was stationed in Europe during WWII. They were married on April 19, 1958 and spent the next year honeymooning in Iceland where Bud was transferred. After traveling the world along side Bud while in the Air Force, they settled in Aberdeen, SD in 1972 to raise their two wonderful kids. In 1987 Joan and the family made their way to Seattle, WA. It was there that she was co-owner and operator of RJ Trucking until 2003 when she retired and moved to Hayden, ID to be by her grandkids. Joan's grandkids' were her life she loved each of them very dearly and held a special place in her heart for each one. Joan was very passionate about her faith in the Catholic Church and was a member of St. Pius X in Coeur d'Alene. She loved reading, traveling, crocheting blankets for everyone she knew, fishing(from the shore), wintering in Yuma, AZ, going to bingo and most importantly, spending time with family.

A Memorial Mass for Joan McMillin will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 625 E. Haycraft on Saturday January 23, 2010, at 10:00 a.m.
